Principal’s Message

Dear Royal Families,

It is with great pleasure and excitement that I welcome our incoming families as the principal and educational leader of Edna Louise Spear Elementary School. I have proudly been part of the Royal family for the past seven years, beginning my journey as the assistant principal for both the elementary and middle schools. During that time, I have developed a profound appreciation for this wonderful community. I care deeply about every child, colleague, and family, and I am truly honored to serve in this role.

Our students benefit from a wide variety of enriching learning experiences throughout the school day. Each week, students participate in nine periods of special classes, giving them the opportunity to explore physical education and the arts. Our robust music program offers band and orchestra lessons beginning in third grade. Students also enjoy three physical education classes each week, one of which includes swimming instruction in our very own pool! In addition, we offer a weekly STEAM program for grades 1–5, outdoor classrooms, therapy dog visits, engaging after-school clubs, and even a greenhouse that supports hands-on learning. What truly brings all of these opportunities to life is our team of compassionate and dedicated educators who work tirelessly to support our students.
