Port Jefferson Middle School students recently showcased their musical talents at the Long Island String Festival Association (LISFA) Suffolk Chamber Music Festival. 

During the festival, students participated in masterclasses and received coaching from members of the Bryant Park Chamber Players. The experience provided students with the opportunity to collaborate with fellow young musicians from across Suffolk County while refining their ensemble and performance skills under the guidance of professional musicians.

Representing Port Jefferson Middle School at the festival were:

• William Wardhana, violin (7th grade)

• Penelope Lago, violin (8th grade)

• Brett Stein, viola (8th grade)

• Makaylyn Bourjolly, cello (8th grade)

• Sophie Franck, bass (8th grade)
