Edna Louise Spear Elementary School welcomed back its annual Instrument Petting Zoo recently, giving second-grade students an exciting introduction to the world of music.

Members of the Earl L. Vandermeulen High School Tri-M Music Honor Society traveled to the elementary school to provide students with an up-close experience with band, orchestra, and voice instruments. During the event, students listened to live demonstrations, asked questions about the instruments, and even had the opportunity to hold and explore many of them for the first time.

The interactive event helps inspire young musicians as they prepare to select the instrument they would like to begin learning in the fall. The district extends a special thank you to music teacher and Tri-M Music Honor Society advisor Mr. Edward Pisano for organizing and planning this engaging musical experience for students.
