Homecoming October 13-17

Posted Date: 10/05/26 (11:26 AM)

Dear Port Jefferson Community,

From October 13 through 17, we will come together as a community to celebrate Royal Pride during our homecoming week. Homecoming is a wonderful opportunity to showcase school spirit while recognizing the outstanding talents and achievements of our students.

The week will be filled with a variety of special activities and events. Each day will feature an exciting theme, along with games and meets featuring our varsity, junior varsity and middle school teams. We encourage you to come out and support our student-athletes as they compete in cross country, football, soccer, swimming and volleyball throughout the week.

The week will culminate with an exciting pep rally, bringing our secondary students together to celebrate. Please refer to the accompanying homecoming week graphic for a complete schedule of themes, competitions and activities for our students.

As Royal Pride continues to flourish, we invite the entire community to join us for the homecoming “Light Up the Night” parade on Friday, October 16, at 7:00 p.m. The parade will begin at Earl L. Vandermeulen High School and conclude at the bowl. Line up along Main Street to see our students show off their school spirit.

We encourage everyone to take part in our weeklong homecoming festivities as we celebrate the unity, enthusiasm and character that make Port Jefferson such a special place to live. Thank you for your continued support of our students, schools and community. We look forward to celebrating Royal Pride with all of you!

Sincerely,

Jessica Schmettan

Superintendent
